Loving the new site so far. The new features added I think bring a lot to the site as well as easier navigation. Bravo Ian!
I'm wondering if it would be possible to make this the defacto Media Center site on the web. Quite honestly, with the easier to use features, this is to me what TGB should be. TGB is good and very popular but has a few issues that I think The Digital Lifestyle fixes.
1) More than just forums including blogs, wiki, reviews, friends (yes I like the social aspect) etc.
2) I don't know if it's possible but I'd be willing to contribute and that is a download section. One that is up to date. The download section at TGB is out of date and hasn't been updated in forever. People were actually complaining about people adding Vista apps at one point!
3) The social aspect again. I don't see this at TGB and I think it adds a lot to the community.
I'm willing to help out as much as possible. While my blog remains on it's own site, my podcast has found a permanent home here (yes, new one coming soon I PROMISE!) and I'd like to add more if I can. Nothing against TGB but since MS took over it seems to be nothing but a constant battle between people wanting info and people from MS not giving any. I think the social and community aspect of this site is 10 times better.
I think a download section is a great idea, and part of what the addin reviews section is. A list of downloads is handy but a community review is much richer.
I am happy to acept any help

I think this is working out really well, especially the social element. It's been 24 hours and I'm learning new stuff, which is just the way it should be.
So that we don't go down the line that TGB has of being a big mass of unstructured information in lots of forums we need to TAG, TAG, TAG so that we can find things again.
I'm not sure I like the new forums layout, you cannot see all the forums from the first page, you have to click down abit to see all the different forums, makes it harder to see what forums are actually here.

cw_kid, I know what you mean. I didn't like it at first but I do now.
I like that the most rescent posts, no matter what forum, are easily visible - hopefully that's going to encourage more conversation. Also as long as posts get tagged there's a more efficient way to find stuff now with the Tag cloud, rather than having to dig through each forum.
What do others out there think, love it or hate it?
